 40 years ago I was fortunate to be in the last entrance year before the school became independent. RGS Worcester provided a great education and offered many opportunities, and I’m pleased to support an initiative which helps others experience the same.

 A government assisted place in the eighties made all the difference to my future. The inspirational teachers of the time and their passion made learning a joy for me. Whilst 12p bus tickets and free lunches might seem ludicrous to some , they made a huge difference to my future.
